Music Teacher - Coventry - ASAP

Salary: £150-£260 per day (paid weekly)

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Roles and Responsibilities

• Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils\' well-being following statutory provisions
• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across KS3-KS5 that ignite passion for music and performance
• Inspire students to explore composition, performance and music theory with creativity and confidence
• Organise and lead musical events, concerts and extra-curricular clubs such as choir, orchestra or band
• Foster a positive and energetic classroom environment that celebrates talent and teamwork
• Encourage self-expression and critical listening through diverse musical traditions and styles
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback to help every learner succeed
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills following the school\'s behaviour policy
• Work in partnership with parents/carers, ensuring open, respectful and timely communication to celebrate success and address concerns
• Engage in continuous professional learning, embracing feedback and contribute to departmental excellence

Qualifications and Experience

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Read the DfE \'Keeping Children Safe in Education\' (2025 document)
• Proven experience teaching Music at Secondary level (KS3/KS4, KS5 desirable)
• Strong musical proficiency (instrumental, vocal or compositional)

• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (Child/Child & Adult Workforce)
• Reference checks covering the last 2 years of employment or education
