Job summary

A fast-growing teaching agency in the UK is seeking a dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to join a vibrant school in Liverpool. This role involves planning and delivering engaging Music lessons, developing innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Qualified Teacher Status and experience in UK secondary schools are essential. The position is temporary and will start in January 2026, with working hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm, paid to scale.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching Music in a secondary school in the UK.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training preferred.

About the Role

Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Liverpool area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic educator to inspire and nurture students.

Key Details
  • Location: Liverpool, L6
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term
  • Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging and effective Music lessons to secondary school students.
  • Developing and implementing innovative lesson plans that cater to varying student needs.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Ability to provide references that cover at least 24 months worked and where possible 2 roles where you have worked with children.
