  • Contract: Maternity cover
  • Salary: £175 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
The Role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham from January 2026 on a maternity cover contract. This role involves teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their creativity, performance skills, and appreciation of music.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that balance performance, composition, and music theory. The school encourages practical, hands-on learning and provides access to excellent resources, including dedicated practice rooms and digital composition tools.

The Candidate
  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) – ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Experienced in teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
  • Proficient in at least one instrument and confident leading classroom and ensemble activities
  • Creative, adaptable, and able to inspire students of all abilities
  • Committed to supporting school performances, concerts, and extracurricular music clubs
