Job summary

Sky Entertainment Group is seeking a passionate Music Publishing Executive to join the SATV Music Publishing team within Sky's Music Department. You will support sourcing and commissioning composers, manage pitches and contracts, and help grow the SATV catalogue across TV, film and advertising.

The role requires knowledge of production music libraries, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience and strong knowledge of music publishing, music commissioning and production music libraries.
• A solid understanding of music used across television, film, advertising and digital content.
• A creative and solutions-focused mindset with a genuine passion for music.
• Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach with commercial awareness and stakeholder service mindset.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of the SATV Music Publishing team, including sourcing and commissioning composers, managing pitch processes, negotiating fees and contractual terms, and preparing and administering composer agreements.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal Sky stakeholders and external partners (composers, agents, producers).
• Shape and develop the SATV catalogue by staying abreast of trends and identifying opportunities.
• Lead production of music library albums from concept to delivery, including briefing composers, managing feedback, coordinating artwork, overseeing contracts, and ensuring metadata is delivered for copyright registration and delivery to partners.
• Contribute to SATV's commercial and creative objectives and maximise catalogue value and performance.
• Act as an ambassador for SATV Music across Sky and promote the team's services.
• Deputise for the SATV Publishing Manager when required, taking ownership of projects and stakeholder relationships.
