Job summary

Edinburgh International Festival is seeking an experienced Programme Manager - Music for a temporary maternity cover. You will manage music details, schedules and artists, coordinating with Programming, Artistic Management, Production, Communications, Sponsorship and Development to ensure seamless operations.

In addition, you will oversee the music programme in the Festival Schedule via Artifax, publish updates, manage budgets and contribute to hub events, while acting as a key internal contact

Qualifications

• Seasoned experience in programming or arts festival management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for cross‑department coordination.
• Ability to manage details across schedules, repertoire and artists.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of music details, schedules, repertoire, and artists to all related departments.
• Ensure music programme and schedules are shared with Artistic Management for contracts.
• Oversee the music programme and schedule in the Festival Schedule on Artifax and publish updates.
• Issue Programme updates to inform the wider Festival of changes.
• Assist in recruitment for Festival contract staff within the Music Department.
• Coordinate planning of The Queen’s Hall and The Hub series; oversee delivery.
• Serve as the central contact for non-choral music library questions.
