Job description
Overview

Live Life Aberdeenshire's Cultural Services is delighted to offer this opportunity to join the team at an exciting time of development.

We are looking to recruit a creative, passionate, forward thinking team player to help deliver on the Council's ambitious multi-million-pound plans in Peterhead to create a new museum for Aberdeenshire. The focus will be on the creation of high quality and engaging exhibitions and displays, informed by our ongoing participatory outreach with local communities. As a key member of the team, you will also be involved in preparing the upcoming Museum Accreditation return.

Role and reporting

You will be responsible for line managing two museums staff and will report directly to the Museums Development Co-ordinator. Your work base will be at the Discovery Centre at Museums HQ in Mintlaw.

The role is fixed term for a period not exceeding 30 June 2026.

Secondment opportunities will be considered based on the advertised salary, subject to candidates having the mutual consent of their current employer.

Interview and commitment

It is anticipated that successful applicants will be invited to an in-person interview in Mintlaw on Monday, 3 November 2025.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
