Job summary

Axis CLC Group seeks a Multi-Trade Operative (Plumbing Focus) to carry out plumbing installations and repairs across Southampton, including void properties and kitchen & bathroom projects.

You’ll support carpentry, tiling and decorating as part of refurbishment teams, work safely, and deliver high‑quality workmanship to schedule.

We offer a salary up to £45,240, a company van, generous leave, referral bonuses, long‑service awards and ongoing training with internal progression.

Qualifications

• Multi-Trade Operative (Plumbing Focus) with strong domestic plumbing experience.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing (or equivalent).
• Experience in domestic maintenance, voids or refurbishment works.
• Experience in kitchen and bathroom installations or major repairs.
• Ability to carry out supporting multi-trade tasks, including basic carpentry, tiling, plastering and decorating.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Complete repairs and installations in void properties to prepare homes for handover.

The Role

We’re looking for a Multi-Trade Operative (Plumbing Focus) to join our team delivering works across the Southampton area, covering void properties, kitchen and bathroom (K&B) programmes and major repairs.

This is a plumbing-focused multi-trade role, where your core work will be plumbing installations and repairs, alongside supporting carpentry and general maintenance tasks to complete high-quality refurbishment works.

Working as part of a wider delivery team, you’ll play a key role in delivering works safely, efficiently and to specification.

What You’ll Deliver

• Carry out plumbing works, including bathroom and kitchen installations, pipework, and hot and cold water systems.
• Complete repairs and installations in void properties to prepare homes for handover.
• Support kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.
• Work on major repair and maintenance projects across properties.
• Carry out supporting multi-trade tasks, including basic carpentry (first and second fix, doors, frames and kitchen-fitting support), tiling, patch plastering, making good, painting and decorating.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver jobs on time and to a high standard.
• Follow health and safety procedures and complete risk assessments on all works.

About You

You are a skilled tradesperson with strong plumbing experience and the ability to carry out a range of supporting multi-trade tasks. You take pride in delivering quality workmanship across occupied and void properties.

Required Skills & Experience

• Multi-Trade Operative (Plumbing Focus) with strong domestic plumbing experience.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in domestic maintenance, voids or refurbishment works.
• Experience in kitchen and bathroom installations or major repairs.
• Ability to carry out supporting multi-trade tasks, including basic carpentry, tiling, plastering and decorating.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
