Multiskilled Technician - Renewable Power Generation

Salary: £40,000 - £45,765 per annum (DOE) + benefits
Location: Lochgelly, Fife
Hours: Monday to Friday - 38 hours per week

My client is a leading organisation within the UK renewable energy sector, operating a high-performance biomass facility.

They are now seeking a skilled Multiskilled Technician to support routine and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring the plant's reliability, availability, and operational output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safe working practices and procedures in line with the SHE Management System.
  • Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance activities following approved processes and procedures.
  • Provide out-of-hours support where required to maximise plant availability and performance.
  • Diagnose plant faults and develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and present accurate technical reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance and activity records.
  • Conduct ongoing plant condition monitoring tasks.
  • Support maintenance planning to ensure sufficient resources and skill are available.
  • Supervise contractors and other personnel as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Provide cover for the Maintenance Coordinator when required.
  • Maintain full compliance with SHE standards at all times.
About You
  • Competent user of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical plant knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and understanding of site safety rules.
  • Ideally time‑served with experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
