Job summary

Qualifications

  • CompEx or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment (chemical, pharmacy, or similar) is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance across production and service equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Calibrate and maintain site instrumentation to meet regulatory and safety standards.
  • Ensure all maintenance and calibration records are accurate and audit-ready.
  • Collaborate with engineering colleagues to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills

Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and instrumentation systems
Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems
Understanding of regulatory and statutory engineering requirements

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Instrumentation or related Engineering discipline

Full-time, 37.5 hours | Monday - Friday, Fixed Term - 18 month contract

Profile
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment (chemical, pharmacy, or similar).
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems, LV switchgear, VSDs, and safety systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory and statutory engineering requirements.
