Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Warrington is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering and operations team. You will maintain plant equipment, handle planned, preventive and reactive work across Mechanical and EC&I systems, and support site reliability.

The role offers a salary of £58,000–£63,000 with a company pension, private medical insurance and 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. You should be time-served with an apprenticeship or HNC/HND and experience in SAP PM.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
• Multi-skilled experience across Mechanical and EC&I disciplines.
• Experience in chemical/manufacturing or process industries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
• Fault find and diagnose issues across complex process plant equipment.
• Support plant reliability, minimise downtime and maximise operational availability.
• Carry out maintenance activities in line with SAP PM schedules.
• Support commissioning, plant modifications and improvement projects.
• Maintain compliance with HSE procedures, permits and isolation standards.
• Work closely with production teams, engineering colleagues and contractors.
• Update maintenance records and work orders within SAP CMMS systems.
• Participate in the site on-call engineering rota.

Key Responsibilities of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND in their engineering discipline)
• Multi-skilled engineering experience across Mechanical and EC&I disciplines
• Experience within chemical, manufacturing or process industries
• Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, drives, instrumentation and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and control drawings
• Experience using SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems
• Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving and organisational skills
