Job summary

A higher education provider is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of their estates portfolio. You will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, overseeing building and equipment maintenance, while adhering to safety and compliance requirements. The role demands flexibility and travel across multiple campuses in the UK, with a standard 40-hour work week expected. Ideal candidates will possess the necessary certifications and previous building maintenance experience, complemented with a proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Certification in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Experience with Electrical Installations at City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Ability to conduct maintenance on building systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and refurbish fabric and equipment across the estates portfolio.
• Monitor the condition of buildings and undertake repairs.
• Assist with planning refurbishment projects and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

City & Guilds Level 2 and / or Level 3 in Electrical Installations

Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems

Manual skills, knowledge of refurbishment techniques

Flexible and proactive approach to work

Familiarity with COSHH requirements

Interpersonal skills

Full, Clean Driving License
