Job summary

Elite Cooling Services Scotland (ECS) is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Prestwick, Scotland. This full-time role covers proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery within FMCG and manufacturing environments, with a focus on reliability and downtime reduction.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, work with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and contribute to improvements across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated environments.
• Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs/automation systems (desirable).
• Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical & mechanical faults efficiently.
• Work across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot issues including PLC and control systems.
• Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
• Assist with installation, upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times.
