Job summary

A fast-paced manufacturing company based in Edinburgh is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support the engineering function. Responsibilities include proactive and reactive maintenance, workload management to minimize downtime, and assisting in the installation of new machinery. Candidates should have relevant technical qualifications and a background in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained with HND/HNC or equivalent.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing is desirable.
• Must have some element of multiskilling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive/reactive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Prioritize and manage workload to minimize downtime.
• Support installation of new machines and equipment.

Our fast paced manufacturing client, based in Edinburgh and are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team and support the engineering function. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with afood production company!

4 on 4 off dayshift position - no nights!!!

The role

• Proactive/reactive maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• In the absence of immediate supervisor, assess and prioritise your own workload to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Support the install of new machines and equipment to manufacturer specifications.

The candidate

• Apprentice trained, HND/HNC or equivalent electrical or multiskilled qualification
• Fast paced manufacturing experience is desirable
• Working knowledge of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes & motors will be expected in this role
• Manufacturing background would be preferred but not essential
• Must have some element of multiskilling for this role
