Job summary

A manufacturing company in Edinburgh is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support its engineering function. You'll perform proactive and reactive maintenance, prioritize your workload, and support the installation of new machinery. Candidates should have an HND/HNC or equivalent qualification and experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable. This role offers a 4 on 4 off dayshift schedule without night shifts.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained and hold HND/HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Some element of multiskilling is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive/reactive maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Assess and prioritize workload in absence of supervisor.
• Support installation of new machines to manufacturer specifications.

Our fast paced manufacturing client, based in Edinburgh and are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team and support the engineering function. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with afood production company!

4 on 4 off dayshift position - no nights!!!

The role:

• Proactive/reactive maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• In the absence of immediate supervisor, assess and prioritise your own workload to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Support the install of new machines and equipment to manufacturer specifications.

The candidate:

• Apprentice trained, HND/HNC or equivalent electrical or multiskilled qualification
• Fast paced manufacturing experience is desirable
• Working knowledge of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes & motors will be expected in this role
• Manufacturing background would be preferred but not essential
• Must have some element of multiskilling for this role
