Job summary

A staffing solutions company in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. In this full-time, permanent role, you will maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, carry out installations, and support training. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in electrical/multiskilled disciplines and good mechanical knowledge. Salary ranges from £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, with 36 working hours per week.

Job description
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our well established client. If you are electrical biased and want to work for a business that offers career progression, APPLY NOW!

Job Duties
  • Maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment in accordance with relevant current legislation and keep documentation and records accordingly.
  • Carry out electrical installation work when required for new plant, machinery, equipment, and services ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
  • Meet requirements of all departments in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical and mechanical works.
  • Be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery and report defects to the Facilities Manager immediately.
  • Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance throughout the site.
  • Fault find, diagnose and repair (where possible) faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery, and other equipment.
  • Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of the maintenance team.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to current safety standards, to an agreed standard and meets legislation.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical/multiskilled discipline.
  • Apprentice Trained (or equivalent).
  • Good mechanical knowledge/experience.
  • PLC, HMI experience.
  • Previous experience of working in a factory environment.
  • BS Edition.
  • IPAF.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum.

Working hours: 36 hours per week 06:00 - 13:30 / 13:30 - 06:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 - 18:00 Friday (Probationary period hours will be days based 08:00 - 17:00 for training purposes).
