Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Glasgow. The successful candidate will maintain and repair CNC machinery, performing both reactive and preventive maintenance. Candidates should have hands-on experience, particularly with CNC machinery, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. This is a day shift role, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and benefits including private healthcare and paid overtime.

Overview

Multskilled Maintenance Engineer (DAYS ONLY, MONDAY - FRIDAY!)

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime Opportunities

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours/week)

Overtime: 1.5× weekdays and Saturdays, 2× Sundays

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair a range of CNC machinery, manual machines, and production equipment in the workshop.
  • Perform reactive and preventive maintenance to maximise equipment uptime.
  • Contribute to maintenance activities across the wider business, including site facilities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior or new maintenance staff as the team grows.
Requirements
  • Time-served experience or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience maintaining, repairing and servicing CNC machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
