Job summary

DMR Personnel Ltd is recruiting a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Bury St Edmunds to keep production running smoothly by maintaining and improving equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You’ll perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshoot production and utility equipment, and support new machinery installs while keeping detailed maintenance records and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance (pneumatics, hydraulics).
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent (ONC mechanical/electrical, BTEC level 3 mechanical & electrical/electronic).
• IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations advantageous.
• Familiarity with safety protocols (LOTO, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.).

• Keep operations running smoothly – maintain, repair, and improve equipment for safe, efficient production.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and utility equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process-improvement opportunities and provide technical expertise to boost productivity.
• Support new machinery installations.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Champion safety and continuous improvement (BOPEX).

• Salary: Flexible £50,000 - £55,000 plus bonus

• Panama shift pattern: 12‑hour shifts covering a 7‑day rotation:

  Always starting on a Mon, Wed, or Fri.Mon, Tue day – Wed, Thu night – 5 days off.Wed, Thu day – Fri, Sat, Sun night – 4 days off.Fri, Sat, Sun day – Mon, Tue night – 5 days off.
