Maintenance Engineer

Shift

Double Days (Mon – Thu 06:00 – 13:30 & Fri 06:00 – 13:00)

A global Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer just outside of the Bilston area are looking for two Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers with an electrical bias to join their double days team.

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Engineer with a strong technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Team Leader and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns.

This is a fantastic opportunity with a multi-national Automotive company who supply to some the biggest OEM’s in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform thorough electrical and mechanical fault‑finding to identify and resolve issues.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on CNC machinery and assembly equipment.
  • Perform servicing duties, including completing service reports and updating all required information through the CMMS system.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality Standards, Environmental requirements, and all other relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively to support all maintenance activities, helping the department achieve operational goals and performance targets.
  • Promote and maintain a strong 5S culture, ensuring a clean, safe, and well‑organised working environment.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment built on openness, respect, and cooperation.
  • Support TPM/PPM follow‑up actions to ensure timely completion and continuous improvement.
  • Use SAP or other relevant IT systems to accurately document maintenance activities and asset information.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company to support operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Experience on CNC Machinery or skills that are transferable to CNC Machinery.
  • Completed a time‑served apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics).
  • Ideally educated to HNC level; however, candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.
  • Skilled in either mechanical or electrical maintenance, with the ability and confidence to work competently across both areas.
