Job summary
Wabtec is seeking a Multiskilled/Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the Plant Engineering/Maintenance team in Northampton. You will work on a weekly rotating shift pattern (0600-1400 / 1400-2200) and service radiators production for the power generation industry.
You will maintain and improve machinery, inspect systems, and troubleshoot to ensure optimal operation within a safety-conscious environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with DC/AC Drives, electrical hoists, and 3 phase motors.
- Experience with safety and light circuits, inverters, PLC systems, relays, and speed control systems.
- Experience with working with sensors.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems experience is advantageous.
- Mechanical understanding of gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatics would be advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise and plan effectively, while working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to follow processes, especially health and safety/manual handling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, service, and repair all machinery used in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- Conduct PPMs when required.
