Job summary

A local government authority in the North East is seeking an organised individual with strong marketing and communication skills to support the development and management of marketing plans and content. Candidates must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject and have experience in communications or marketing functions. Job description

We are looking for an organised individual who has strong marketing and communication skills until 29 May 2026.

What Is Involved?

You will support the development, governance and management of marketing plans and content for social media, web sites and staff intranet. You will also be working closely with colleagues across the team to ensure the council’s communication and marketing supports the council’s wider needs and key strategies such as the ‘Digital First’ communications strategy and the Customer First strategy.

What Will I Need?

You should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in a related subject or equivalent.

  • Experience in working in a communications and/or marketing function.
  • Experience of assisting in delivery of communications and/or marketing campaigns and evaluation and developing and leading low level campaigns.
  • Strong computer skills including web and social media.
  • Understanding of marketing and communication evaluation tools and techniques
