Job description

We support our clients across domestic gas, commercial gas, renewables, and electrical services. Purpose of the Role / Role Overview
  • Follow on from heating installations and complete a range of tasks that include boxing in pipework, tiling, ceiling repairs, making good & painting.
  • To work closely with the Area Manager and admins to provide a variety of assistance to the install engineers
  • To assist with vertical flues

Your assistance will enable the Installation department to complete planned work and achieve the required operational and customer service performance targets, Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental systems, company procedures and meet legislation requirements.

General Duties / Key Responsibilities
  • To assist with the installation of new boilers where required
  • To help complete vertical flues, adding bracing into the loft and weathering the lead slate into the roof
  • To build timber boxing under boilers where required
  • To assist with the ASHP installations, building concrete bases, lifting floorboards, and constructing new cupboards
  • To attend all calls allocated to you, if delayed report to call handlers so the resident can be made aware of delays.
  • To record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used, to capture this on the company’s PDA / I.T system.
  • Where any further works are required, you must liaise with the Area Manager/ admin teams and then inform residents of the timescale for completion of the work being undertaken.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly with the possibility of working outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business
  • Carry out your daily tasks in a helpful and professional approach prioritising customer service.
  • To always keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy ensuring any waste is disposed of to company/HSE regulations.
  • Day‑to‑day self‑management of your workload, being responsible for the works you have carried out.

To complete this role you must have or be working towards a City & Guild multi trade/building qualification or be able to demonstrate the relevant experience.
