Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a skilled tradesperson for a multi-trade repairs role. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and painting in customers' homes, tackling doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks and flooring.

You’ll work both solo and with other trades, following work orders with a strong focus on safety and customer service. This position offers a company van, fuel card, uniform and pension, and requires a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Solid experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plumbing and plastering.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and ability to drive to customer homes.
• Physically fit and able to undertake hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance.
• Fix day-to-day issues in customers' homes such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks and flooring.
• Complete patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and similar finishing works.
• Work on your own jobs and with other trades when needed.
• Follow work orders and report progress and materials used.
• Maintain safety and follow health and safety procedures.
• Provide a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes.
