Our client is are looking for versatile and reliable Multi Skilled Operatives to join their team. You will work on retrofit projects across Northern England, carrying out a wide range of hands‑on installation, repair and finishing tasks in clients homes.
This is a field based role, with a company van provided, that requires flexibility across multiple trades and a strong focus on customer service, quality and health and safety. You will represent the client in occupied properties, ensuring works are delivered efficiently, respectfully and to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- PAS 2030:23 and PAS2030:2035 Compliant Installation and fitting of retrofit measures (insulation, sealing, ducting, ventilation, fabric works)
- Minor carpentry & joinery
- Basic Plumbing tasks (pipework adjustments, repairs, fitting or replacing taps, valves and connections)
- General building maintenance and remedial work
- Prepare and protect customer homes before works, including moving and safeguarding furniture, floors and belongings.
- Support Ventilation installations including coring, fitting, repairing or replacing fans where required.
- Perform internal quality checks and provide photographic / written evidence to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Ensure sites are left safe, clean and tidy, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Travel daily to site across Leeds, Bradford and further afield as projects require
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Report any issues, risks or delays promptly to the project manager.
- Follow all health & safety requirements and ensure safe use of tools, equipment and PPE
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in at least one core trade (e.g. plumbing, joinery or carpentry)
- Ability to complete tasks across a range of general building or retrofit works
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
- Knowledge of PAS 2035 Standards
- Suitable NVQ qualifications for PAS compliant insulation and ventilation work
- Strong health & safety awareness with ability to work safely in occupied homes.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Customer focused approach with strong communication skills
Desirable
- Relevant Trade qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, CSCS Card)
