Multi-Trade Operative - Plumber

Lancaster Way, Ely – covering Ely and the surrounding areas

£34,376 - £36,185 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm

Role and Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our day to day team of 20, based in Ely. Within this role you will be covering all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, in tenanted properties. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the roles will cover the East region.

  • Carrying out first time fix repairs where possible for our customers
  • Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences
  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
  • Skills in some of the following disciplines – Carpentry, Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering, Fencing and Groundworks
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
