Job summary

Black Country Housing Group is seeking multiple skilled Multi-Trade Operatives for its BCHG Homeforce, the in-house maintenance team delivering repairs, improvements and safety work to customers’ homes within the Black Country and Birmingham area.

You will carry out a wide range of repairs across plastering, tiling, plumbing, carpentry, glazing, fencing or groundworks, manage your own workload, and ensure quality finishes while working safely in residents' homes.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in a recognised trade.
• Experience in tenanted and owner-occupied homes.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a wide range of repairs and maintenance in line with your core trade and supporting across other trades where needed.
• Managing your own workload effectively to meet agreed standards and timescales.
• Completing work right first time wherever possible — with a focus on quality and resident satisfaction.
• Selecting and using the right materials to ensure durable, high-standard finishes.
• Working safely at all times, completing risk assessments and following all policies and procedures.
• Supporting our out-of-hours emergency service on a rota basis (additional payments).
