A not-for-profit housing organization in England seeks a Multi-Trade Operative to join the Day-To-Day team in Swindon. This role requires skills in plumbing or carpentry and involves maintenance of properties, ensuring customer satisfaction, and participating in a call-out rota. £34,376 - £36,185 per year
40 hours per week Monday - Friday
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Day-To-Day team based in Swindon. We are looking for someone with Plumbing or Carpentry as their core trade. Covering sites across Bristol, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Reading areas, you will be responsible for carrying out void works in empty properties including but not limited to fixing leaking taps, replacing baths, changing a door handle and hanging new doors. This role will also involve the following skill sets: UPVC/Composite door and window installation, bathroom/kitchen installation as well as plastering and patch repairs. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools for you to complete jobs to a high standard.
The team of 12 also carry out external repairs including fencing and groundworks. You will be required to be on an emergency call out rota which is currently once every 9 weeks.
