Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to cover North London, South London and Kent. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of heating, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks for flats and properties.

The role requires proven multi-trade experience, a full UK driving licence, and strong problem-solving skills. You will work Monday to Friday with weekends as needed, and have opportunities for growth within the business.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers.
• Carry out servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

We're currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician for our client covering North London, South London and Kent.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience as a Maintenance Technician / Multi Trade.

CANDIDATES MUST BE A UK.

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

Salary and benefits package for the role of Maintenance Technician:

• Basic £35,000 - £40,000
• Van can be provided
• Monday to Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm
• Weekend availability

Responsibilities for the role of Maintenance Technician:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance
• Conduct regular inspections of flats and properties to identify maintenance needs
• Perform general repairs including simple plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers
• Carry out routine servicing of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems
• Maintain and repair household appliances, locks, doors, and windows
• Ensure that communal areas and external grounds are well maintained
• Work with external contractors when necessary for specialised repairs
• Keep records of maintenance work completed and report any major issues
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients or other departments

Key Skills for the role of Maintenance Technician:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician / Multi Trade
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices including plumbing, electrical and carpentry
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on quality work
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
