Job summary

A community-focused housing organization is seeking a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join their Responsive Repairs Team in Plymouth. The role requires a qualified Joiner with customer service skills and the ability to complete repairs effectively. Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in the relevant trade and be capable of demonstrating key behaviours in a customer-centric environment. This is a full-time position with a permanent contract.

Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join our Responsive Repairs Team covering our homes in Plymouth and the surrounding areas on a full-time (39 hours per week), permanent contract.

About the role

You must be a qualified Joiner and show a level of competence in Plastering. You must live within twenty miles of Plymouth to be able to reach all the locations in a timely manner.

Essential Skills/Experience
  • Demonstrable competence within the required primary trade.
  • Various multi-trade skills and experience, sufficient to enable the completion of repairs at the first visit (first time fix).
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures, and accurately record data and information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems, seeking any advice required.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to operate safely, having considered any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
  • Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience of working within the social housing sector.
Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the required trade.
