Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Electrical / Fabric Technician to deliver maintenance services at a BP/ M&S client site in Milton Keynes. The role covers electrical distribution, power, lighting, plumbing, joinery and routine safety/compliance tasks.

You will perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance, document activities, and support occasional out-of-hours work with notice. A recognised electrical apprenticeship and relevant City & Guilds qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• City & Guilds electrical installation certificates Part 1 & Part 2.
• NVQ Level 3 and AM2, IEE 18th edition wiring regs.
• City & Guilds 2377 (PAT) certification.
• IT skills including basic email and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance checks.
• Complete reactive repair tasks.
• Inspect/repair floor tiles (ceramic & vinyl).
• Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems.
• Plumbing repairs: taps, unblocked toilets/sinks.
• Joinery: inspect/repair doors, replace Digi locks.
• Painting and re-decorating.
• Undertake tasks designated by line management.
• Maintain maintenance, safety and quality documentation.
• Complete mandatory training and task-based training.
• Occasional out-of-hours support with notice.
• Planned and reactive remedial work: electrical distribution, power, lighting and inspections.
• Legal compliance: fire alarm, PAT testing, emergency light testing and electrical defect repairs.
• Hot hold unit repairs and maintenance.
• Canopy light and floodlight maintenance and repairs.

The Client is a BP Oil working on various forecourts in the UK M&S attached shops, so is a visible and high-profile client demanding a meticulous eye for detail and efficient site operations. Previous retail maintenance experience would be a benefit.

What You’ll Do:

To deliver the following:

1. 1. Complete planned preventative maintenance checks
2. 2. Complete reactive repair tasks
3. 3. Inspect/repair floor tiles ceramic & Vinyl.
4. 4. Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems.
5. 5. Plumbing skills – repair taps, unblocking toilets, sinks
6. 6. Joinery skills Inspect/repair doors, replace Digi locks
7. 7. Painting and re-decorating
8. 8. Undertake any tasks as designated by line management.
9. 9. Maintain various records and documentation (Maintenance, Reports, Health & Safety and Quality).
10. 10. Completion of mandatory training and task-based training
11. 11. Assist in occasional out of hours works when required (Appropriate notice will be given)
12. 12. Planned and reactive remedial work with respect to: Electrical distribution, Power, Lighting and electrical inspections.
