Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Junior Bodyshop Technician (not an apprenticeship) for a permanent, full-time position in the UK. Salary starts from £30,000 and depends on experience.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour week in a modern bodyshop environment. You will be mentored by an experienced Bodyshop Owner and Senior Technician, gaining hands-on practice across repair disciplines and building towards becoming a fully skilled multi‑skilled technician.

• Previous experience within an automotive bodyshop or accident repair centre.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the repair of accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Learn and develop skills across panel repairs, preparation, polishing, strip and refit, and general bodyshop repairs.
• Work alongside experienced technicians on a wide variety of repair techniques.
• Inspect vehicles and identify repair requirements under supervision.
• Maintain excellent workshop housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider bodyshop team to achieve production targets.
• Develop knowledge of manufacturer repair methods and quality procedures.
• Build the skills and confidence required to become a fully qualified Bodyshop Technician.
