Job summary

A facilities management company in the UK is looking for a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer to perform maintenance across various operational assets. The role involves both reactive and proactive maintenance covering electrical, mechanical, and building disciplines. Candidates should have experience in commercial properties, strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, and relevant qualifications such as NVQ in Air Conditioning. The position includes a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within commercial/industrial properties and installation.
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application within role.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
  • A good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.

  • Ensure high-quality standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Offer technical support and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Flexibility in work hours for cover and emergency calls.

Overview

Job Title : Multi Skilled Shift Engineer - Air Conditioning Bias. Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts working 4 days on, 4 days off - 7:00am to 7:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Provide reactive and planned pro-active maintenance services for operational assets, covering electrical, mechanical, and building fabric disciplines, including modifications, installations, and liaising with contractors.
  • Ensure high-quality standards, legal requirements, and company policies; maximize equipment availability, offer technical support, and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Provide a reactive and planned pro-active maintenance (PPM) service as per project requirements to all operational assets.
  • Flexibility in work hours to provide cover for holidays and sickness absence and participate in standby rota for emergency calls, outside normal working hours.
  • Proactively walk the floors, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager.
