What’s involved with this role

Contract Type: Temporary

The role: We’re seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Worker to carry out a range of repairs and maintenance duties across council-owned and public sector properties in Bury. The role covers flagging, drainage, and general groundwork tasks, as well as associated multi-trade repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake all flagging, drainage and groundwork repairs to social housing and public buildings.
• Operate safely and in line with council health and safety procedures.
• Use PDA systems for work documentation and reporting.
• Maintain council vehicles, tools, and materials responsibly.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Valid CSCS card – essential
• Experience working within social housing or the public sector – essential
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Flagging and Groundworks
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to diagnose, plan and complete multi-skilled repairs with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable

• Additional multi‑skilling certificates
• Experience using PDA systems
• Knowledge of health and safety and drainage systems
