Overview

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Operatives - Plumbers, Multi-traders, Electrical Engineers, Gas Engineers, Carpenters.

Salary: £40k - £50k per annum, depending on role and experience

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (On-call rota will apply)

Location: Based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, North West London, Berkshire and surrounding areas

We are seeking reliable and experienced facilities maintenance operatives to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring that buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard across hospitality and retail clients.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out reactive repairs and some planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across various sites
  • Undertake plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical tasks, gas tasks, multi-trade, and general building fabric maintenance tasks
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a facilities maintenance or building services role
  • Good working knowledge of trade - carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, gas work, multi-trade, etc.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time management skills
Desirable
  • Experience working in commercial Retail and Hospitality environments (e.g. shops, restaurants, pubs, etc.)
