Job description

Multi Skilled Mobile (Gas) Engineer (Midlands)

Leading Building Services and Facilities Management company operating across the Midlands region. This is a full-time permanent role requiring a flexible and out‑of‑hours commitment (1 in 14). The Engineer will perform reactive, emergency breakdowns, planned preventive maintenance, and associated paperwork on a variety of systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete associated paperwork.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance on pumps, air handling units, pressurisation units and related systems.
• Document maintenance and repair work in appropriate reports.
• Provide fault finding and rectification for commercial gas servicing, repairs and installations.
• Use BMS and controls knowledge in troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Excellent understanding of commercial heating systems.
• Experience in all aspects of commercial gas, servicing, repairs and installs.
• Excellent knowledge of current gas regulations.
• Comprehensive technical skills for fault finding and rectification.
• Good plumbing skills and basic electrical safety knowledge.
• Knowledge of BMS systems.
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of gas, unvented hot water installations.
• Experience with IET Wiring Regulations (18th edition preferred).
• Commercial gas qualifications.
