Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical & Mechanical)

Salary: £39,200, mid allowance 20% & nights 27% (£20.96 per hour)

Hours: 36 (Mon-Fri) with overtime 1.5x Saturday & 2x Sunday

Contract: Full time & permanent

Location: Stockton-upon-Tees, County Durham

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Stockton site. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including CNC machinery, lasers, jigs, fixtures, and general factory infrastructure. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our production equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

What you will do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you are accountable for, but not limited to:

  • Develop and carry out maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective repairs across production machinery and tooling.
  • Ensure the site’s buildings, vehicles, and equipment are kept in safe and operational condition.
  • Work alongside approved mechanical and electrical contractors under permit control.
  • Provide technical input during the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and safety standards.

What You Can Demonstrate:
  • Technical Skills: Electrically biased with sound mechanical knowledge; experience with CNCs, lasers, and general factory equipment.
  • Maintenance Skill: Proven track record in both preventative and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability: Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and minimise production impact.
  • Self‑Motivation & Teamwork: Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small maintenance team.
