Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer to oversee plant and machinery reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing site.

The role requires City & Guilds level in mechanical/electrical engineering, strong PLC fault-finding skills, welding capabilities, and the ability to work across Bridon sites if needed.

Qualifications

• Educated to City & Guilds level or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to set up and adjust machines, processes and equipment using SMED.
• Knowledge and implementation of mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Good understanding of PLCs and ability to fault find, with basic programming knowledge.
• Welding capabilities.
• Experience working within preventative maintenance schedules.
• Experience working effectively within small teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing general checks on machines.
• Proven practical experience with continuous improvement tools.
• Good understanding and practical application of HSE and Quality policies.
• Ability to work within company policies and procedures.
• Ability to comply with ISO 14001, HSE, waste, COSHH and other applicable legislation.
• Flexibility to work at other Bridon sites when required.

Responsibilities
