Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the Rawdon site. You will perform building, HVAC, plumbing and electrical work, carry out minor repairs and manage on-site contractors to keep operations smooth.

The role requires a suitable electrical qualification, IPAF (MEWP) and FLT licences; knowledge of Building Management System (BMS) is essential. Working hours are 39 per week, Monday to Thursday 7.00–15.30 and Friday 7.00–14.30.

Qualifications

• Must hold a suitable recognised electrical qualification.
• MEWP experience with IPAF licence (preferable but not essential).
• Utilise the Building Management System (BMS) to control building HVAC and production plant processes.
• FLT Licence (preferable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Perform building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work as required.
• Carry out minor repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment
• Management of contractors on the Rawdon site
• Involvement in new installations as required
• Responsible for induction and point of contact for contractors whilst working on site
• Address any minor internal issues for example blocked drains, toilets, minor spillages, replacement of light lamps etc.
• Follow set PPM procedures for fire detection systems
• Ensure that your activities comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Understanding of basic plumbing and mechanical systems
• Required to be flexible with working hours to rectify breakdowns as priorities and demands dictate.
• Support the Sheet Metal and other maintenance team as and when required
• General adhoc jobs as required

Position Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive and flexible individual to join the Facility Maintenance Team reporting to the Manufacturing Systems Team Leader, with responsibility for maintaining and supporting the effective smooth running of the Rawdon premises, building services and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work as required.
• Carry out minor repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment
• Management of contractors on the Rawdon site
• Involvement in new installations as required

Training will be provided for the right applicant to develop the skills & knowledge required for the position.

39 hours per week from 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 7.00am to 2.30pm on Fridays with ½ hour for lunch each day
