Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading FMCG in their search for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Telford.

Due to a potential retirement, the company is looking to add to their current team of engineers. They require someone with experience within the food manufacturing/food packaging industry.

This role is multi‑skilled but is electrically biased (70% Electrical / 30% Mechanical).

The role – Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Fault finding
  • Deal with day‑to‑day breakdowns and changeovers.
  • Root cause analysis and preventive actions.
  • PLC programming and fault diagnosis.
  • Determine root cause of faults, plan and implement changes.
  • Deliver electrical and mechanical changes.
  • Monitor machine performance and provide reactive support for breakdowns.
  • Replace parts removed from machines and complete correct documentation.
  • Ensure effective communication with the Section Leader / Shift Manager / Senior Engineer.
What our client is looking for in a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Experience within the food or processing industry (essential).
  • Multi‑skilled position, 70% Electrical, 30% Mechanical.
  • Prepared to learn new techniques & technology.
  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs – highly advantageous.
  • City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or BTEC Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
