A leading engineering firm based in Sittingbourne is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This role involves working on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. With a shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical skills. Qualifications

  • Apprentice trained in a similar position with bias towards Electrical or Mechanical.
  • Practical hands-on approach to maintenance.
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

42 hours per week, Sittingbourne (ME10 3NB)

£53,768 (including shift allowance) + benefits

Responsibilities

You will work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. Working 42 hours per week, the shift pattern is 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6am to 6pm.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Apprentice trained in a similar position with a bias towards Electrical or Mechanical
  • Electrical qualifications desirable (CG2320 P1 P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and regulatory requirements
  • Practical hands‑on approach to maintenance
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate and understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, team leaders from both maintenance and production PLC
  • VSD knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an advantage
