Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd in Bridgwater is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support production as the site grows. You will carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems to minimise downtime.

Working 4 on, 4 off shifts, you will be well organised under pressure and collaborate with colleagues and contractors to maintain safe, efficient operations on the shop floor. Experience with PPMs and keeping maintenance records is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering; 18th Edition required.
• Experience carrying out PPMs in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong electrical maintenance skills within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Inspect and maintain machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Support production by providing a fast response to maintenance issues.
• Work closely with colleagues to improve equipment performance and reduce recurring faults.
• Keep maintenance records up to date and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning and upgrade of new machinery and equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.
