Job description

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our growing Engineering team. This individual will provide electrical and instrumentation repair and maintenance services, and operate the Electrical Generation Plant, Peaking Generators, Steam Raising Plant, and Water Treatment Plant efficiently and safely. Monitoring plant conditions and minimizing operating costs are key responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

1. Operate Boilers, Gas Turbines (CHP plants), and Reverse Osmosis skids daily.
2. Monitor boiler and water treatment plant operations and adjust settings as needed.
3. Oversee the combustion of process gas, adjusting fuel mixes to meet steam and process gas availability requirements, in coordination with Production for steam and electricity needs.
4. Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams on breakdowns and routine maintenance.
5. Perform planned, predictive, and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure equipment functionality and production efficiency.
6. Diagnose, test, calibrate, install, and commission process instrumentation.
7. Isolate electrical plant in compliance with permit-to-work procedures.
8. Identify faults and implement rectification solutions.
9. Install and commission new or repaired machinery and equipment.
10. Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and trade practices.
11. Operate high-voltage switching (training provided).

Skills and Knowledge

• Recognized electrical/C&I engineering apprenticeship, ideally in heavy process industries.
• HNC in electrical/automation discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proven competency in electrical isolation, safety procedures, and panel entry.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and installation requirements.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Maintenance experience in instrumentation.
• HV switching and operations experience or willingness to learn (training provided).
• Experience operating CHP plants or willingness to learn (training provided).
• Ability to work independently and organize team tasks as needed.
• Hands-on approach with commitment to completing jobs.
• Ability to prioritize workload and adapt flexibly.
