Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing / FMCG

Location: South Wales

Salary: £48,000 DOE

Shift pattern: Mon-Thurs 6-6, rotating Days/Nights

Contract: Permanent

Role summary: A multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer is sought to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a well-established British manufacturer serving global industries. The role is supported by strong investment, a growing workload and a focus on continuous improvement, offering a secure position with real career potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to production and resolve equipment issues
  • Carry out shift handovers and prioritise maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose faults and ensure quick resolution of breakdowns
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
  • Assist with facilities and site maintenance as needed
Typical Equipment You'll Work With
  • Laminators, Coaters, Slitters, Packaging Machinery
  • Sensors, Relays, Drives
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
  • Instrumentation and Control Systems
  • General workshop equipment (lathe, welding, etc.)
What We're Looking For
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with both reactive and planned maintenance
  • ONC or equivalent minimum qualification
The Package
  • Salary: £48,000 DOE
  • Hours: 45 hrs/week - Monday to Thursday, weekly rotating Days/Nights (6-6)
