Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Basic £44,500, Benefits. Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire.

A large chemical manufacturing company is recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work a Permanent Nights shift (38 hours per week), Monday – Friday. Based at their site in Alfreton, Derbyshire, you will be required to complete maintenance, repair and breakdown duties on a variety of mechanical and electrical machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who has worked on equipment such as conveyors, rollers, pumps, motors and inkjet printers to join a market leader in their industry and pursue further opportunities to progress within the business.

Skills required for an Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• The ideal candidate will be a multi‑skilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias with engineering‑based qualifications.
• Worked within a manufacturing or production environment previously, ideally fast‑paced.
• Skilled in fault‑finding, root cause analysis and safe repair practices.
• Proactive, hands‑on, team‑oriented and good communication skills.
• Be willing to work a Permanent Nights Shift, Monday – Thursday 10pm – 6am and Friday 6pm – 12am (38 hour working week).
• Be able to work in confined spaces.
