Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production, plant, and process equipment at a leading food manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production and plant equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain single- and three-phase systems.
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and PLC/process control troubleshootingli>
- Maintain, calibrate, and verify sensors, instrumentation, and control panels.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on conveyors, drives, mixers, milling, and packing machinery.
- Replace bearings, chains, belts, and mechanical components.
- Perform fault finding, root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to safe, efficient maintenance.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Time-served engineer with electrical bias (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations qualification (essential).
- PLC/process control experience.
- Health & Safety certification (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent).
- Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing.
- CMMS experience for planned maintenance.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Experience with automated packaging, milling, and blending equipment.
- Knowledge of process control instrumentation and compressors, motors, and drives.
