Job summary

A global manufacturer based in North Cornelly, UK, is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer to minimize production downtime and maintain equipment. Responsibilities include attending breakdowns, completing scheduled maintenance, and addressing quality-related issues. Candidates should have knowledge of workshop equipment, PLC experience, and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings. This role is crucial for supporting high-speed production processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Attend breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
  • Complete scheduled, planned and preventative routines.
  • Investigate and correct process, product, and quality issues.
  • Help with fault finding, diagnostics and corrective actions.

Skills

Knowledge of workshop equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings
PLC experience
Experience of high speed production machines
Good mechanical appreciation and knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, pistons
Experience of working with variable speed drives AC/DC
Ability to plan, review and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Day shift only.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities will be to attend breakdowns and minimise production downtime; complete scheduled, planned and preventative routines and undertake necessary corrective actions; participate in investigating and correcting process, product and quality related issues; help with the fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment.
