Job summary

A global infrastructure solutions company based in England is seeking an experienced engineer to monitor equipment conditions, lead improvement projects, and liaise with shift teams. The ideal candidate must have a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification, strong electrical and mechanical understanding, and experience with PLCs. Qualifications

Job description

CMMS system to record all works (Pirana, ShireSystem). Providing liaison route to shift teams, provide feedback on any significant issues. Monitoring equipment condition, identify areas requiring additional PM work and communicating accordingly. Ensure any remedial activity is robust and complete. Managing spare parts appropriately. Ability to lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to conclusion. Support management of maintenance costs. Reporting and monitoring all maintenance actions in a proactive manner to maintain the efficiency of all the plant and equipment associated with the business. Experienced in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and able to lead RCA investigations. Assisting the Engineering Lead with daily activities and on occasion will stand-in for the Engineering Lead. Adhering to the Company's compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.

What do you need?
  • Be, educated to minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong electrical and mechanical understanding.
  • Have a strong ability to fault find and provide rectification to both mechanical and electrical systems including PLC's such as Siemens/Allen Bradley.
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to modify PLC programs confidently and safely.
  • Have exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and ability to analyse data to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Have experience using a CMMS e.g. Pirana would be advantageous.
  • Be a true team player who can work collaboratively or on own initiative in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be PC literate and competent in the use of MS Office suite.
