Our client, a well-established food manufacturer and part of a larger, highly successful group, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their Hull site. With major site investment and cutting‑edge equipment upgrades, this is an exciting time to get on board.

The Role

Working on a 4 on 4 off days shift, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of automated production and packaging equipment within a fast‑paced FMCG environment. You’ll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Working with PLCs, relays, and variable speed drives (VSDs).
  • Supporting process improvements and engineering projects.
  • Collaborating with operations teams to ensure smooth running of production.
About You
  • You’ll be a time‑served Maintenance Engineer or Technician with a strong multi‑skilled (electrical/mechanical) background.
  • Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or a fast‑paced automated environment is highly desirable.
  • Confident working with PLCs, relays, and drives (knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley would be a bonus).
  • A self‑starter who enjoys problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
