Overview

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical Bias) – Salary: £48,500 (rising to £62,000 on completion of a 2-year training programme). Contract Type: Permanent. Shift Pattern: Panama - Early & Late Shifts (No Nights). Location: Commutable from Wellingborough, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester, Daventry & Rugby.

About the Role

We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias to develop within a supportive and forward-thinking team. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of production machinery in a fast-paced general manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
  • Diagnose faults and complete root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Support continuous improvement and machine reliability initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
  • Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with company procedures
Experience & Skills Required
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Previous work in a manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG environment
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • Willingness to learn and progress through structured training
  • (Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential - practical skill and experience are key.)
