Job description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in the Burton Joyce area, offering a permanent position with a salary of £48K plus overtime. The role involves working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including days and nights.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include carrying out site Electrical maintenance, installation, and upgrade around the plant while providing production support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Shift Team Leader to ensure the efficient running of the factory
  • Understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant, Odour control, and effluent treatment plant
  • Monitor all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation
  • Carry out breakdown repairs to factory equipment in a timely manner
  • Conduct site Electrical installations and upgrade work as designated by the Electrical Team Leader
  • Carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules
  • Be on call for a proportion of the time
Requirements:
  • Served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment and handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns
  • Proven experience with fault finding, troubleshooting, and solving process problems
  • Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives
  • Basic mechanical skills and experience of plant operations
