Job Overview

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Various Locations (Enfield, Shepton Mallet, West London, etc.)

Salary: £50,000 – £59,000 depending on location and contract. Shift pattern 4 on 4 off (12‑hour shifts) with overtime paid on a 4 on 4 off rota. Full‑time, permanent role with an additional out‑of‑hours call‑out rota bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across a portfolio of social housing units.
  • Perform plumbing, joinery, damp and mould works, and general multi‑trades tasks ensuring first‑time fix where possible.
  • Follow agreed procedures, accurately record data, and maintain health and safety standards.
  • Work methodically, with minimal supervision, and manage time effectively to meet service level targets.
  • Support customers with a professional, customer‑focused approach and demonstrate the Guinness behaviours.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) or equivalent trade qualification in plumbing or related trade.
  • Demonstrable competence in basic plumbing, damp and mould works. Experience in social housing is desirable.
  • Experience working in a customer‑focused environment with proven ability to meet performance targets.
  • Full UK driving licence, basic DBS check (provided by employer).
  • Physical ability to lift and carry materials safely as per health and safety guidance.
